Make Wellness Your Resolution with Reformer Pilates

Make Wellness Your Resolution with Reformer Pilates

January brings many things - new beginnings, fresh starts, and revised goals. It’s no surprise that a recent survey by Forbes found that improving fitness (48%) and mental health are among the top New Year’s resolutions. While 80% of participants feel confident about achieving their goals, the reality is sobering—the average resolution fizzles out before reaching the 4 month mark.

This year, we want to help you prioritise you… beyond the New Year’s resolutions.

In our busy, demanding lives, it’s easy to put ourselves on the backburner, but finding small, intentional ways to prioritise wellness can lead to big, meaningful changes.

Reformer Pilates is the perfect way to embrace this mindset - it’s all about steady progress, listening to your body, and celebrating every little win along the way.

Joseph Pilates famously said, “In 10 sessions, you’ll feel the difference. In 20, you’ll see the difference. And in 30, you’ll have a whole new body.” While those transformations are real, they’re not about perfection; they’re about building strength, balance, and self-confidence, one session at a time.

Making changes doesn’t mean overhauling your entire lifestyle in a day. Whether it’s carving out 20 minutes to move, focusing on your breath, or simply showing up, every small step adds up. Reformer Pilates is a gentle yet powerful way to set those goals. You don’t need to master every move immediately… progress is built on showing up consistently and doing what feels right for you.

Feel the Difference (Weeks 1- 4)

In the first few weeks, the most important changes are the ones you feel. Your body starts to move with more ease, your core feels stronger, and you may even notice your energy levels improving. It’s about tuning into your body—reconnecting with what it needs and discovering the joy of movement.

See the Difference (Weeks 5-8)

As you build consistency, those small changes begin to show physically. Your posture might look a little straighter, your muscles a little more toned, and you may even feel lighter in your everyday movement. More importantly, you’ll see a shift in how you show up for yourself… having confidence and pride in the work you’ve been putting in.

Inspire Others (Weeks 9-12)

By the time you reach 12 weeks, the change isn’t just internal. The people around you will notice the difference - not just in how you look but in the energy you carry. Taking time for yourself inspires others to do the same, creating a ripple effect of positivity.

Remember, Reformer Pilates isn’t about perfection or fitting into someone else’s idea of what wellness should look like. It’s about discovering your personal strength and resilience through small, meaningful steps, empowering you to prioritise yourself in ways that feel sustainable and uplifting.
